Recently we reworked our whole website and removed several pages from our site. We were really concerned about loosing our rankings and trust factor with Google. I did a search about this and found you don’t have to wait for them to remove your web pages from their index. Google’s webmaster tools has a section for istant removal of pages from the Google index. We used it when we noticed our rankings going backwards and it really made a big difference. I still have not found a way to do this with Yahoo and MSN but will write a post if a good solution is found.
